Build-And-Learn Banjo Camp

$159Purchase required to enroll
Students will build their own mountain-style banjo under the direction of instructor Nick Poss and be introduced to a variety of playing styles. Students will also learn about the history of the banjo, listen to great performers, and explore the many ways the banjo is played.

Check out our YouTube video to see the banjo and learn about what the camp will cover.

The cost of the banjo, a customized kit made by Carver Banjos in Indiana, is included in the cost of the camp. It features a real skin head, geared tuners, and a slightly shorter scale, which facilitates learning for younger players. Students will sand, stain, and assemble the kits and install the skin head, bridge, and strings themselves with supervision and assistance when needed.

Parents or other family members are welcome to participate for an additional fee.
