Chippewa Valley Ukulele Orchestra

We are now a part of the Luginbill Children’s Foundation Music Education Fund and there is no cost to enroll.

The Chippewa Valley Ukulele Orchestra plays and sings arrangements of music ranging from traditional Hawaiian tunes to contemporary music. The repertoire is specifically designed to have parts for a variety of skill levels so that everyone can participate.

All children are welcome, but students who join the orchestra should have some basic skills already under their fingers. They should be able to play the following chords while strumming with a steady beat: C, F, G, G7, and D7. If you aren't sure if you child is ready to participate, simply contact the office and we will help you decide

While students will learn new skills as part of the orchestra, it is not a replacement for music lessons or individual study. Students are expected to work on the music outside of practices and to demonstrate musical progress.
